MTD records in, before the deadline.

MTD Quarter Close. For UK accountancy practices with landlord and sole trader clients in Making Tax Digital for Income Tax.

Four times a year someone in your practice chases every MTD client for rent statements, receipts and bank records. I run that chase for you, in your practice's name, with wording you approve, and send you a weekly list of who is still missing what. Nothing touches your software or HMRC.

What the chase costs you

Worked example, not a measurementAbout 50 hours a year

25 MTD clients, chased up to 3 times a quarter, at roughly 10 minutes to write, send and log each chase, is 12.5 hours a quarter before anyone reads a reply. Four quarters makes about 50 hours of your most expensive admin time. Your real figure depends on your clients, which is what the readiness report shows.

The fix£450, fixed

A two week trial on up to 25 clients, run in your practice's name with wording you approve. No subscription, no software to install, no logins to hand over. You keep the tracker and the report whether or not you continue.

From your reply to a running chase

Day 0Reply or short callIs chasing your slow part?
Day 1Order and data agreementOne page each, signed first
Day 2Your list and wordingNames, emails, what is missing
Day 3Chase 1 goes outIn your practice's name
Day 14Readiness reportYou decide what happens next

Typical timing. Each step waits for you, so it can be slower, never faster than your approvals.

2

I run the chase for 14 days

Three emails per client, sent in your practice's name. Replies and uploads are logged. Any tax question from a client comes to you unanswered.
